Today I have released the first beta of RVCare Logbook 4. This is the full desktop app with all the classic functionality, rebuilt for modern systems such as the Apple Silicon Macs (currently M1 - M4), as well as modern Windows releases.
New functionality is complete and waiting in the wings, and will be carefully added in upcoming updates. This includes: modern mapping, location/GPS-aware functionality, weather warnings, plus much more.
In a future version of RVCLB 4, optional cloud syncing will also be offered for a small monthly fee. This will allow synchronization of your RVCLB data across multiple devices.
A new discussion forum has been set up to discuss the app, report bugs, and request new features, or simple to talk about your travels. You can join the forum at www.rvcarelogbook.com/forum If you were a member of the old forum, unfortunately it was too antiquated to bring it up to date, so you will need to re-register. If you have any problems registering, please do let me know, I’ll be happy to help. Note that the website will still refer to RVCare Logbook 3 until the official launch of the new version.
Testing is open NOW for all RVers, particularly those who hold a license for the previous version. If you would like to test this first beta of RVCLB 4 with your own RVCLB 3 data, here are the download links:

Upon release, RVCLB 4 will be priced at $49.99 for new customers, with a 50% off coupon available for any purchaser of RVCLB 3 in the previous two years. Furthermore, anyone who has EVER bought RVCLB, no matter how long ago, can receive a 20% coupon. Details to follow!
If you have any questions, please either join us on the forum or email support@rvcarelogbook.com.
Notes for Windows testers:
- Test builds will not be signed so you will see Microsoft’s SmartScreen. Simply click More Info, and then Run Anyway. Release versions will be signed.
- On some versions of Windows, the Components toolbar icon remains selected, regardless of which pane is actually being displayed.
- On some low resolution PCs, it may be necessary to maximise the window to see the buttons at the bottom.
