Going back through some of my work on reports and there are places that if the data could be 'cleaned up', the report would be a lot easier . . In Enhancements, the description field contains all kinds of formatting stuff along with the actual data. When creating a report, this all has to be stripped out before display. It sure would be nice not to have to deal with that formatting . . the dates are actually in a sortable format so the report could be very clean if not having to deal with the description field.
The date picker is use creates dates with no leading '0' so even a 'simple' date switch into a sortable date does not work. It would be great if all dates were in sortable format but at least, if they were all the same length, date manipulation would be easier. Not only would reports be easier but the column sorts would also work . .
Oh, and costs are all saved in various 'string' formats which don't work well in the report form in calculating totals. It allows '$' or no '$' - just no consistency so trying to create a report requires much manipulation.
And: is there a way to 'repair' the running totals fields in like parks counters, fuel counters, etc? I don't know exactly what they are used for? but they are not correct totals, at least in my database . . I have gone through and corrected (a real time consuming pain!) but it gets messed up again later . . that may have to do with any editing of the data while in the app? but . .
