To create a new record in a module, navigate to the appropriate window.
If there are no records for this window the ‘Save’ button will be highlighted and all the display/data entry field will be empty.
Otherwise:
The data for the current selected record will be shown and the ‘Save’ button will be dimmed. Locate the “New” button at the bottom of the window, select it. The data entry part of the window will be cleared, the ‘New’ button will be dimmed, the ‘Delete’ button will change to ‘Cancel’ and the ‘Save’ button will highlighted. You may also use menu Record -> New.
Continuing:
Enter data into fields.
NOTE: Selecting ‘Cancel’ button will return window to previous state.
After you have enter all the data you want select the ‘Save’ button. If there were error an error message will be displayed. Correct the errors and select the ‘Save’ button again.
If the data is accepted the database will be updated and the ‘Save’ button will dim, the ‘Cancel’ button will change to ‘Delete’ and the ‘New’ button will be enabled.
