RVCare Log Book – Application for Windows and Macintosh

RVCare Log Book is a Relationship Database Application to record maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on your recreational and other vehicles.

RVCare Log Book support multiple vehicles.

Keeping accurate and complete records will provide information for scheduling preventive maintenance (PM) and a history of work done on your vehicles.

There are records for:

  • Component: Vehicle name, component name, brand, manufacturer, description, PM requirements, documents links, components pictures, and cost summary.
  • Vendor: Name, address, phones, web URL, email address, contact, and summary of money spent with vendor.
  • Service: Vehicle name, component, problem, service by, solution, dates, links to documentation, cost, and pictures.
  • Vehicle: Vehicle name, make and model, VIN, registration information, Insurance Information, picture of vehicle, owner information and summary of money spent on vehicle.
  • Fuel Vehicle and DEF: Location, method of payment, date, gallons and cost. APU, generator, use off set information. Helper for gallon to liter conversion.
  • LP fuel: Location, method of payment, date, gallons and cost. Month-year summary report.
  • Trip Log: Date, Start and Ending Locations, Towing Vehicle, Towed Vehicle, Start and Ending Odometer, Miles, Start and Ending Times, Hours, Total Hours and Total Miles.
  • Records for Tires, with tire pressure. Reminder to replace, base on age
  • List of Components due PM, calculated from data in the Component and relative Service records.
  • Service Order list
  • Service Order Completion Report.
  • To Do List.
  • Inventory List with categories and location tables.
  • Weight forms for Motor Home, Travel Trailer, and Fifth Wheel.
  • Campground information.
  • Fuse information.
  • Enhancements. A place to record upgrades to your RV, link Components to  Service.

  1. I don’t see an improvements/enhancements db table. We’re tearing out the table and dining room chairs and adding a custom built dinette that folds down into an extra long twin bed so we have enough sleeping space for the two children we adopted. I’d like to be able to track the dinette improvement also.

    Part of this enhancement is that we are selling the original table, so improvements can have both costs and income. The table sale will have the income, the boxing, and the shipping costs One of the costs I might choose to track could be fuel and campsite expenses for the initial trip over for purchase and the subsequent trip over for the installation. On the other hand, I might choose to track that as a camping trip.

      You are correct, there is not a Improvement/Enhancement Section(Table). That would be a good addition to RVCare Log Book.

      For my own RV I did not keep up with this as by the time I started on RVCare Log Book I had already done lots of interior replacement. Most of the time I would record the Component and make Service records for the cost. All cost, except fuel, is in the Service function. For example when I put a Headboard on the bed I created a Service record for the cost and a Component record.

      I’m not sure what information need to be in this table, what do you think? Should it be part of the Component Function? If not part of the Component, should it have a connection to that Function.

      I would appreciate any feedback.
